Choline

Choline

600mg (Bitartrate)

600mg pure vegan formula. Liver function and fat metabolism.

  • Liver and fat metabolism
  • Homocysteine metabolism
  • Important during pregnancy

What sets DRV+ apart

Choline is hard to get on a plant-based diet.

The richest sources are eggs, beef, fish and poultry. Vegan sources like tofu, broccoli, mushrooms, spinach and peanut butter do provide choline, but not at meaningful levels. The choline gap exists because of where it naturally concentrates.

At 600mg, this dose closes that gap. The liver needs steady choline to function properly and to move fats away from the organ. Plant-based diets often fall short, and that matters, especially if your client is pregnant or supporting a pregnancy.

KEY FEATURES

  • 600mg choline as bitartrate.
  • Clinically proven to support liver function.
  • Supports lipid metabolism (how fats are transported away from the liver).
  • Contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism.
  • Naturally sourced, with no additives, fillers or binders.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Take it daily. Choline works by keeping a steady supply available to the liver rather than by building up. Consistency matters more than timing.

Still have questions?
We’ve got answers.

When is the best time to take Choline?

Take two capsules each day, ideally with food although this isn't essential.

Your client can take the two capsules together or separately. Taking two capsules a day ensures they’re getting the essential nutrients vital for supporting the brain's performance, energy, and maintaining normal liver function, including transporting fats away from the liver.

Can my client take Choline while pregnant?

Yes. Choline is an important nutrient during pregnancy, so it is recommended when pregnant and is also included in our our Pregnancy Multinutrient.

What is choline?

Choline is an 'essential nutrient' that plays an important role in normal liver function and fat metabolism. It helps remove cholesterol from the liver and can help prevent conditions such as fatty liver disease. It’s also important for the production of neurotransmitters (chemical messengers) in the body. These play a vital role in brain function, memory, and mood. A deficiency of Choline is linked to liver disease and potential disorders in the brain and nervous system.

How much Choline should my client take per day?

While there aren't any EU guidelines for daily intake of Choline, an optimal dose in a Choline supplement is 600mg in bitartrate form.

What are the benefits of taking a Choline supplement?

Choline can help support the brain's neurotransmitters, healthy lipid function, and metabolism for brain function, fat metabolism, and healthy liver function.

Why are Vegans often deficient in Choline?

As most of the dietary sources of Choline are from animal foods, those following a plant-based or vegan diet may find it more challenging to get adequate Choline from plant sources.
