Fibre Complex

Fibre Complex

700mg - 2800mg

5 types of soluble and insoluble fibre led by psyllium husk. For intestinal health and a thriving gut microbiome.

  • Soluble and insoluble fibre
  • Digestive health, intestinal transit and function
  • Promotes soft stools and regularity
  • Supports the gut microbiome
  • Up to 2,800mg total fibre (5 types)

What sets DRV+ apart

An estimated 90% of adults fall short on fibre. When the gut doesn't have enough fibre, the microbiome starves.

Fibre Complex combines psyllium husk (the seed coat, rich in mucilage that supports intestinal transit) with fibre from apple (pectins, a soluble fibre), carrot and beetroot (roots, for insoluble fibre), and blueberry (rich in polyphenols including anthocyanins).

Both soluble and insoluble fibre matter. Soluble fibre feeds the microbiome. Insoluble fibre moves everything through. Your client needs both.

KEY FEATURES

  • Up to 2,000mg psyllium husk, the seed coat of Plantago ovata.
  • Psyllium supports intestinal transit, regularity and soft stools.
  • Apple fibre providing pectins (soluble source).
  • Carrot and beetroot (insoluble fibre sources).
  • Blueberry fibre with polyphenols and anthocyanins.
  • Capsules can be opened into food or drink.
  • No additive or fillers.

THE EVIDENCE

  • An estimated 90% of adults fall short of the recommended dietary fibre intake.
  • In our study of 811 adults, 92% reported some degree of gut health issues, with bloating the most common at 81%.
  • Fibre is the main source of nutrition for the trillions of microbes in the gut, which is why a fibre gap is a microbiome gap.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Take daily with plenty of water, starting with 1 to 2 capsules and building up. Fibre works by volume and consistency. Give it 2 to 3 weeks to begin to see the full effects.

IMPORTANT

Take with plenty of water. Not suitable for clients with a narrowing or blockage of the digestive tract, or difficulty swallowing. If your client takes medication, they should take it at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after Fibre Complex.

Still have questions?
We’ve got answers.

HOW MANY CAPSULES SHOULD MY CLIENT TAKE A DAY?

Take up to 4 capsules of DRV+ (Formerly DR.VEGAN®) Fibre Complex each day. The optimal dosage each day of Fibre Complex is 4 capsules. However, if your client is new to taking a fibre supplement, and if their fibre intake has been particularly low, we recommend starting with 1-2 capsules a day, and then adjusting accordingly and up to 4 capsules a day.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOLUBLE AND INSOLUBLE FIBRE?

Both soluble and insoluble fibre are vital to have in our diet. It is estimated 90% of the population has insufficient fibre in their diet, often referred to by nutritionists as ‘the fibre gap’.

Soluble fibre dissolves in water, forming a gel-like substance in the digestive tract. It can help lower cholesterol and stabilise blood sugar levels.

Insoluble fibre adds bulk to stools and helps decrease signs of constipation by promoting regular bowel movements.

Both types of fibre are essential for a balanced diet and overall wellbeing.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN BENEFITS OF FIBRE COMPLEX?

Fibre is vital for our overall gut health, and our gut health is central to our immune health, our brain and our mental wellbeing through the gut-brain axis, the health of our skin through the gut-skin axis, our heart health and much more.

More specifically, fibre plays a number of vital roles in maintaining optimal health, including supporting digestion by promoting regular bowel movements, helping regulate blood sugar levels, and supporting a healthy heart.

CAN MY CLIENT TAKE FIBRE COMPLEX WITH GUT WORKS®

Yes, Fibre Complex can be taken with Gut Works®. If your client's diet is low in fibre, it is generally recommended to take Fibre Complex alongside Gut Works®.

Gut Works® is the award-winning prebiotic and probiotic for bloating, constipation and other gut health issues. With six clinically studied strains of healthy active bacteria, providing 50bn CFU (colony forming units), Gut Works® repopulates the gut microbiome with healthy, active bacteria.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE FIBRE COMPLEX?

If your client is new to taking a fibre supplement, we recommend they start taking Fibre Complex in the evening. This is because Fibre Complex promotes regular stool movements, so if they have been constipated, they won’t want to be caught short when out and about.

However, Fibre Complex can be taken at any time of the day, and your client can take the four capsules together or separately. They can also open the contents of the capsule and add the ingredients on foods if they don’t like swallowing capsules. Great foods to add Fibre Complex to include porridge, overnight oats, cereal or yoghurts.
