Hemp Protein

What is Hemp Protein?

Hemp protein is a plant-based protein made from ground hemp seeds. It contains all nine essential amino acids, as well as omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, fibre, and minerals like magnesium, iron and zinc. The omega 3 in hemp is alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).

Hemp is not one of the 14 major food allergens. Its nutty flavour works well in smoothies, shakes and baking, making it a nutritious and sustainable protein option for a plant-based diet.

What does Hemp Protein do?

Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass, and to the maintenance of muscle mass and normal bones. ALA contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.
